join our team at the St. Lucie County Jail located in Fort Pierce,
FL.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for Medical Director:
Responsible for all clinical decisions at the facility
Ensures all clinical needs are being met within the facility
Provides direct and indirect basic medical care to meet the
physiological and emotional needs of the patients
Conducts rounds in the medical and infirmary units
Performs sick call visits, and manages chronic care
Responds to and initiates care for medical emergencies
Leads efforts to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of
healthcare services
Coordinates, leads and participates in educational and training
activities
May supervise Staff Physicians and other medical staff
Performs other related duties as needed
Qualifications:
Qualifications for Medical Director:
Be licensed as a physician in the FL
Possess a current DEA registration
Currently certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of
Medical Specialties
A valid CPR card
Experience in primary care with administrative experience in
corrections and/or managed health care delivery preferred.
