Job Description:
A company is looking for a Bioinformatician II responsible for
providing bioinformatics solutions to genetic testing data
analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy software tools or algorithms for
next-generation sequencing data
Assist in developing validations of new software and laboratory
procedures
Create and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics,
Computational Biology, or a related field
4+ years of experience with Next Generation Sequencing data
4+ years of analysis using bioinformatics tools
Proficient with relational databases, such as SQL Server and
MySQL
Thorough knowledge of common bioinformatic tools, such as BWA,
Bowtie, and GATK
