Job Description:
We are seeking well-rounded and seasoned Pastry Cooks to join
our team at Pier Sixty-Six Resort. As an integral member, you will
create distinctively different and authentic culinary experiences
for our guests.
- Develop positive working relationships with the pastry team and
collaborate to achieve shared goals.
- Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, service
procedures, and standards.
- Maintain equipment knowledge and use it only as intended.
- Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all
guests.
- Maintain positive guest relations.
- Familiarize yourself with Hotel services, features, and local
attractions to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization
of assigned work areas.
- Meet with Chef/Sous Chef to review assignments and job
performance.
- Complete opening duties:
- Set up workstation with required tools and supplies.
- Inspect tool and equipment cleanliness and working
condition.
- Check production schedule and pars.
- Establish priority items for the day.
- Inform Chef of supplies needed for the day's
tasks.Responsibilities include transporting supplies, starting prep
work, producing dessert menu items, and preparing amenity orders.
Maintain proper storage procedures, minimize waste, and inform the
Kitchen of excess items. Disinfect and sanitize worktables,
transport empty pots, and direct Stewards for efficient
clean-up.Breakdown workstation and complete closing duties,
including returning food items, rotating product, and cleaning up
food prep areas. Turn off equipment, restock items, and review work
status with the Chef before leaving.
